Leaders win big against Ombersley
BOWLS: Bewdley A got the better of Ombersley to stay top of the Kidderminster and District Midweek League Division One.
In Division Two, Stourport Working Men moved ahead of Royal Mail with a 50 point win over St Ambrose B.
Division Three saw Bewdley C keep their one hundred per cent record with a 28 point win over recently promoted Franche B, while Cookley A finally got off the mark with a 40-shot win against St Johns to move them into third place.
Bewdley D strengthened their lead at the top of Division Four with a 24 point win over Kinver C.
Little Lakes won their third match of the season by 47 points against Nomads to keep them at the top of Division Five.
Results - Division One: Bewdley A 140, St Johns B 106; Kinver B 142, Ombersley A 107.
Division Three: Stourport Wkms Victoria 138, St Ambrose B 88; Stourport D 138, Bewdley B 125.
Division Three: Bewdley C 129, Franche B 101; Cookley A 139, St Johns C 99.
Division Four: Kinver C 108, Bewdley D 132.
Division Five: Nomads 86, Little Lakes 133.
Best Cards: R Durrant (Nomads) 15-2, E Jeffries (L Lakes) 15-2, I Trow (Sport Wkmens Vic) 15-1,
The Thursday afternoon league has Bewdley A and the Bewdley B team at the top of Division One. Division Two is very close with St Ambrose having just sneaked in front thanks to their better shot average.
