AN award-winning band from Cambridge will headline the last show in this year’s events at Cookley Village Hall.
Fred’s House mix elements of folk, pop, country, classic rock and west coast, with a vintage feel to their music, echoing the 1970’s but creating a fresh new sound.
The band have played at some of the UK’s most renowned festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival, Bestival, Standon Calling and the main stage at the Acoustic Festival of Britain.
For the past four years, Fred’s House have been building up a strong following, a reputation for outstanding live shows and are receiving recognition after recently winning the ‘best folk/roots act’ and ‘audience choice award’ at the Annual NMG Awards.
The band is formed of singers and song-writing due Griff Jameson and Vikki Gavin, bassist Gafyn Jameson, keyboardist Alister Bunclark and Paul Richards on percussion.
Fred’s House will release their second studio album, Faultlines, in May.
They will perform at Cookley Village Hall on Sunday (April 24).
Tickets are £9, with doors opening at 7.30pm and the show starting at 8pm.
