Bikers back with home comforts
TWO young mountain bikers have completed their 800-mile odyssey from Stourport Sports Club to John O'Groats to raise money for the Back on Track appeal.
Adam Reis, of Trimpley, an engineer, and Tom Archer, of Upper Arley, a gardener, both 20, started their journey on April 18 and got home at 10pm last Saturday.
Mr Reis said: "It was great. It went really well. We made good progress and the scenery was amazing, although it was miserable when it was raining."
He added: "I'm quite happy to be at home now with all the comforts. When you camp out at nights you really start to appreciate things like your bed, the television and fridges."
The duo have raised more than £500 in sponsorship and are now back at work. For their full story see next week's Shuttle/Times & News.
