I READ in the Shuttle that Balfour Beatty decided to close Welch Gate, Bewdley, because of the abuse that they were receiving from passing motorists when carrying out the water mains replacement work on behalf of Severn Trent.

The poor lambs. Based on my dealings with both companies over the last couple of years, if they showed more courtesy and consideration towards the people whose lives they are disrupting, they might receive more in return.

Well done to balfour beaty for pulling there men off this job. These so called people who think they have the right to abuse the work force are bang out of order. These men who dig the roads are just doing there job's. If any one has a problem then i suggest they ring the head office of the companies envolved.
