A STOURPORT man died after he became crushed between two lorries at his workplace.
Kevin Scott, of Buttermere Road, died minutes after the incident at Tooles Transport, in Rushock Trading Estate, Droitwich, last Wednesday.
The 60-year-old had managed to free himself from the vehicles but suffered a cardiac arrest and died at the scene almost an hour later.
An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer and the Trust’s MERIT rapid response vehicle, carrying a critical care paramedic and a trauma doctor were scrambled to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a man who had suffered a serious chest injury.
“Emergency medical treatment was immediately carried out at the scene but unfortunately despite best efforts nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
A spokeswoman for the Heath and Safety Executive confirmed they were investigating the tragedy.
An inquest into Mr Scott's death has been opened and adjourned awaiting reports.
