A MAN has died after being hit by several cars in Wolverley last night.
The incident occurred in Wolverley Road, close to the junction with Sion Hill, at around 6.50pm, when a Renault Meganne travelling towards Wolverley and a Peugeot 407 travelling in the opposite direction both collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service, which dispatched two ambulances and a senior paramedic, attended the scene.
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of a pedestrian that was believed to have been in collision with a number of cars.
“On the crew’s arrival, the pedestrian was immediately assessed.
“Sadly, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
The road was closed until 1.50am while police carried out their investigations.
They are now appealing for witnesses, and urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw either vehicle prior to the collision, to call 101 quoting incident number 458 of 11th January 2015.
