RESIDENTS at a care home in Stourport are inviting visitors to embark on a ‘virtual’ summer cruise during two open days.
Residents at Ravenhurst Residential Care Home in Lickhill Road North will be ‘globe-trotting’, as the team re-create holiday hot spots all over the world in the very heart of the home.
On Monday, August 14, between 10.30am and 12.30pm and Tuesday, August 15, between 2pm and 4.30pm, people from the local community are invited to attend two celebrations at Ravenhurst as residents embark on their ‘maiden voyage’.
On the Monday there will be a launch party, with Gerry Graham and his ‘World Cruise Show’, while on the Tuesday there will be a cruise-themed exercise session with Alana from Fit4Life, with refreshments and cakes at both events.
During the week the residents will be experiencing French knitting in France, pizza making in Italy, arts and crafts in Spain as well as a piñata party in Mexico.
In real time they will actually be taking a mid-week trip to Weston-super-Mare for a breezy beach day in Blighty.
