A HUGE fire broke out at a Kidderminster recycling plant today (Wednesday, April 18) causing substantial damage.
Crews from Kidderminster, Stourport, Redditch, Bromsgrove and Droitwich rushed to Hoobrook Recycling Centre in Worcester Road, shortly before 2pm this afternoon.
The fire had started amongst the waste in the 20metre by six metre building and firefighters had to isolate the electrics as they tackled it.
It took around two hours to bring it under control.
The fire was so severe that it is believed to have spread to a neighbouring business unit. The Hoobrook Link Road was closed as crews tackled the blaze.
