A CAR went up in flames at Broadwaters Park in Kidderminster.
Emergency services were called to the fire in Broadwaters Drive just before 5.30pm on Wednesday (June 10).
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from the Wyre Forest Hub and a West Midlands team from Stourbridge were sent to the scene.
Photos shared on social media appear to show a silver car engulfed in flames - the passenger side door badly burned and a window shattered.
There were several other cars parked in the car park at the time, although no other vehicles appear to have been damaged.
Firefighters broke into the car using tools and used a hosereel jet and breathing apparatus to battle the fire, which they believe had started in the engine compartment.
A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire was extinguished using a hosereel jet, while two firefighters used breathing apparatus.
"The fire appears to have started in the engine compartment of the car, while there was some diesel spillage from the vehicle."
No one was injured in the car fire and the flames were extinguished in less than two hours.
Crews closed the incident at 7.15pm.
