POLICE and fire crews were called to a bus on fire near to the Kidderminster depot this morning.
The road from Comberton Hill to Worcester Road was closed for a short time while emergency services dealt with the fire just after 10am on Tuesday, November 24.
A photograph posted on social media showed smoke billowing from the dark blue vehicle, believed to be a Diamond Bus, while it was parked at the side of the road.
West Mercia's Operations and Communications Centre tweeted at 10.10am that police and fire crews were on the scene at the Kidderminster Bus Depot.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service posted to say that a crew from the Wyre Forest Hub was in attendance at a bus fire near to the Worcester Road island.
Worcestershire Highways warned people to avoid the area.
The police Operations Centre posted again at 10.45am to advise residents that the road has been reopened.
No one is believed to have been injured.
