A WOMAN involved in a car crash died after suffering a medical emergency at the wheel in Kidderminster.
Ambulances rushed to the scene of a two-car collision at the junction of Blackwell Street and St George’s Ringway by land and air on Friday afternoon (May 13).
One of the drivers, a woman, was found in a critical condition. She had suffered a medical emergency at the wheel of the car, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service.
She was later confirmed deceased following efforts to revive her by ambulance crews.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford.
“On arrival, crews found the driver of one of the cars, a woman, in a critical condition after suffering a medical emergency at the wheel.
“She was given advanced trauma care on scene, but sadly despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased on scene.”
