POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which has left a motorcyclist in a critical condition.
It happened on Hartlebury Road, Stourport, at 6.40pm yesterday.
Contrary to an earlier report issued by West Midlands Ambulance Service, police have confirmed another vehicle was involved in the incident.
A blue Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a 21-year-old Halesowen man, was in a collision with a yellow Suzuki motorcycle, ridden by a 29-year-old Stourport man.
The motorcyclist, who is not being identified, sustained serious head and chest injuries and was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham, where he is currently critical but stable.
The car driver was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs and is currently in custody.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Nick Ferguson or PC Andy Saunders, in the North Worcestershire road policing unit, on 08457 444888.
