REGARDING the article about the couple who bought a leather sofa from SCS.
I had a similar experience when I bought a three-piece suite from the same store.
It was about 2001. I had no satisfaction from the store. The arms of the chairs began to peel. I wrote many letters and phone calls to no avail.
They sent an upholsterer to examine the suite and he reported that it was well worn. The settee had hardly been sat on.
I realised the upholsterer must work for the store.
In the end it caused me so much stress I gave up, but vowed never to patronise that store ever again.
