A CLINIC for people with acquired brain injury will be opening its doors in Trimpley, creating 50 jobs.
The Park Attwood Clinic will open next Monday as a home specialising in the care and rehabilitation of people with acquired brain injury and long-term neurological conditions.
The 15-room care facility has been developed by James Driscoll, creator of the award-winning cartoon series The Shoe People.
He said: “I am excited and proud of what we have achieved at Park Attwood and the new offer in specialist care we can provide here.
“Many people have commented how surprised they are that I have invested in the care industry, particularly given the current challenges facing the sector.
“Like so many others, I have visited care homes over the years and as a consequence of what I have seen I am passionate about creating an environment that provides first class care and rehabilitation.
“It is our ambition to give those staying with us the best possible lives they can have and at some stage to be able to return to their families, no matter how long it takes.”
Rachael Skinner, who will be clinical manager, said she was looking forward to the first residents arriving.
“This has been a stimulating and uplifting experience to prepare for the opening,” she added. “Now we are near to the time when we can begin to offer care to residents.”
