Trail of cuttings

WYRE Forest District Council (or their contractors) visited the Lickhill Lodge area on Tuesday, April 29 to cut the council- maintained grass areas.

This was somewhat overdue as the grass had become quite long. I was out when they visited Lime Tree Walk but they must have used a tractor and mower. This is obvious from the trail of grass cuttings that were left along the road.

I suppose that we cannot expect the council to cut the grass more than a few times a year but it would be a consideration if they could spend a bit of extra effort to remove the grass cuttings and sweep the road after their visit.

It later started to rain heavily and the cuttings will, I expect, shortly end up clogging the road drains. If this then leads to flooding, will we get compensation from the council? I think not!
