CONCERNING the ongoing water supply and drainage work in our area (particularly Stourport), can anybody come up with satisfactory answer to the question that ‘must’ be on everyone’s lips. Just when will it finally be completed?
We all appreciate that it needed doing and welcome the more technically advanced installations but just how many times does one piece of road have to be dug up?
To the best of my knowledge the work in Stourport has been on-going almost continuously for five years. Stourport was at gridlock recently with work on the Hartlebury and Worcester Road at the same time. (It even made the national news!) You are bullied into a false sense of security. Just when you think you’re patch is safe, the very next week it’s dug up with temporary traffic lights again – Lower Lickhill Road for example.
