FIRE fighters were called to a car fire in the early hours of this morning in Kidderminster.
The incident happened in Falcon Close at about 3.30am and fire crews were on the scene for about one hour.
The heat from the car fire started to catch nearby garages causing damage but fire fighters managed to stop it spreading to them.
A neighbour said: "I was woken up at about 3.30am by the sound of a car horn sounding continously.
"From an upstairs bedroom I could see smoke rising nearby accompanied by several small bangs and one large one."
The cause of the fire is unknown and West Mercia Police are investigating.
