A VAN which was on fire in Oldington Lane, Kidderminster, was put out by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service last night (Monday, December 29).
Crews from the town’s fire station were alerted to and attended the incident at 8.55pm and were able to extinguish the flames using a hose reel and breathing apparatus.
West Mercia Police was requested to attend the incident by the fire service and the vehicle is still being examined as to whether or not the fire will be treated as arson.
The Kidderminster crew also responded to a false alarm earlier in the evening after reports of a blaze in Sheepwash Lane, Wolverley.
However, the fire was a controlled burn and did not require any fire service action.
