A BEWDLEY school has made it through to the national finals of a London 2012 olympic inspired challenge.
The Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre has been shortlisted for the contest, in which schools can play their part in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The third STEM Challenge, coordinated by the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network (STEMNET), invited teams of 11 to 14 year olds from secondary schools across the UK to prove they had the skills to undertake anti-doping laboratory techniques.
The Bewdley school’s team will attend the national final, which takes place at The Science Museum in London, on October 7.
They will face a Dragon’s Den style interview and undergo a grilling from the judges, including Tim Brabants, 2008 olympic gold medallist for speed kayaking.
The winning team will win up to £3,000 worth of equipment for their STEM Club and a curator-led tour of the Science Museum.
