STOURPORT Hockey Club men's firsts kick-started the second half of the National League Midlands Conference season with a strong home performance against Harleston Magpies.
A hat-trick from Simon Claris and goals for Josh Appleby and Callum Stanley saw the team run out 5-3 winners ahead of Sunday's home game with Bedford.
The high-flying fifths beat hosts Finchfield fifths 5-1 in Midlands Nine South West thanks to goals from player of the match John Kane (2), David Henderson (2) and Rob Nicholls.
Ben Browne was influential in both defence and attack before keeper Mark Kirby Davis got beaten for a late consolation.
Stourport, who led 3-0 at half-time, are now two points behind second-placed Bournville in the table.
Meanwhile, the women's thirds defeated Redditch firsts 4-0 in Midlands Three South West with Fran Moss and captain Katie Miller-Symonds on target along with a brace from a junior player.
