IT’S not surprising that the Co-op have now opened a funeral parlour a few doors from their grocery store in Bewdley.

WELL done to Stourport Town Council for unanimously condemning the planners’ opposition to the proposed new Samurai Judo Club building.

Residents feel betrayed

MINE is just one of many voices raised in disbelief and disgust at the monopoly now held by the refurbished Co-op supermarket in Bewdley, and the creation of a Co-op funeral parlour at the very heart of the town, both showing a crass disregard for the real needs of the community and its traders.

Missed opportunity

I am in complete agreement with Mrs D. Porter’s letter (Letters, July 31) regarding the recently refurbished Co-op in Bewdley.
