THE Atlantics will signal a rock and roll party at Heightington Village Hall tomorrow night.
With guitar, double bass, sax, piano, drums and four vocalists, The Atlantics create an authentic 1950s sound to help get people dancing. The retro glamour evening will include hits such as Rock Around The Clock, Great Balls of Fire, Blue Suede Shoes and Be Bop a Lula mixed in with the band’s own original tracks.
The Devon-based band includes Paul Bennett on vocals and guitar, Ruby Darnell (vocals, saxophone and steel guitar), Jim McCormack (piano and accordion), Tom Collingham (double bass) and Franky Ogilvie (drums).
The event is organised by Shindig, part of Wyre Forest District Council’s programme of live arts and entertainment for community venues. For tickets, which cost £10, call 01299 822987.
