TICKETS go on general sale for Bewdley Festival on Saturday following last week’s official launch.
Festival members have already scooped £20,000 worth of tickets, with musician Andy Fairweather Low, Roy Hattersley and Douglas Hurd in conversation, Jonathan Miller, ventriloquist Nina Conti, stand-up Jo Caulfield and folk veterans Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick selling well.
The festival’s spokesman Dave Collins said: “It will be interesting to see if the Bewdley Festival members’ choices are reinforced by the public at large when tickets go on sale on Saturday, or whether other favourites emerge.”
Tickets are available from Bewdley Tourist Information Centre from 10am and by phone on 01905 611427, 10am to 5pm.
