A WYRE Forest belly dancer wants to get the district shimmying to a fitter lifestyle.
Tina Hobin, of Mamble, teaches at The Old Post Office in the village, and is looking for dance teachers to teach belly dancing, for one day in shopping malls or town squares.
The fun-loving tutor, who has been teaching for 30 years, has developed a reputation for being patient, consistent and for combining the health aspects of the dance with exercise and entertainment.
Tina said: ""I'm trying to get people to belly dance away to health.
"There are a lot of dancing teachers around and I'm looking for these teachers to come forward and help get lessons going in their area. We need to put belly dancing on the map."
She added: "Belly dancing is great fun and suitable for all ages regardless of sizes and fitness levels. Some women who come to my classes are overweight, unfit and have back problems, stiff joints and many other problems. They all enjoy belly dancing their way to better health."
Tina has a certificate in physiology and anatomy and has regular contact with members of the medical profession.
She went on: "Belly dancing offers many benefits to practioners in terms of health and fitness. It can aid posture, breathing and balance as well as stimulating the senses.
Belly dancing teachers who are interested in offering lessons can contact Tina on 01299 832515.
