A FEW places are still available for string and wind players in a social musical event taking place in Wribbenhall on Sunday.
Members of the Bewdley String Ensemble are holding a rehearsal and play-through of movements from Haydn's Symphony No 88 between 3.15pm and 5.45pm.
In what has become a regular summer fixture, the ensemble encourages keen amateur players to enjoy the experience of playing in a chamber orchestra environment.
The session will be conducted by the ensemble's musical director, Rachel Greenwood, who said: "It's a playthrough, which means it's a fun get-together for amateur musicians. It happens every summer."
She added: "We've got most of the players but we still need an oboeist, another trumpet and another bassoonist. A double bass would be nice."
She said the event was an opportunity for both older and younger players to unite in their mutual love of the music.
"It went very well last year," she said.
String players of grade five standard and above participate, as well as musicians between grades six and eight.
There is a nominal fee for people taking part, although university students and pensioners can join in free of charge. Music is provided in advance for practice.
