Bewdley Festival Book Week is busy taking shape with authors heading to the town to discuss their latest releases.
Bookworms will be treated to an exciting programme including a literary lunch with crime author PD James, creator of Inspector Adam Dalgleish.
The Book Week, in association with The Shuttle, will take place just after the main Bewdley Festival starting on Tuesday, October 2.
Best-selling husband and wife crime writers Nicci Gerrard and Sean French, better known under their joint pseudonym Nicci French, as well as Gaynor Arnold, whose historical novel The Girl in the Blue Dress was long-listed for the Man Booker Prize, will be appearing at the event.
Elkie Brooks, a regular performer at Bewdley Festival, will discuss her new autobiography, Finding My Voice, and Di Spires will talk about her memoir I Just Made The Tea, full of behind-the-scenes stories from the world of Formula 1.
Several local writers will also be attending, including chick-lit author Miranda Dickinson, of Stourbridge, Robert Ronsson, of Bewdley, and Cherryl Vines, also of Stourbridge.
Robert’s intriguing tale of a link with the Glaswegian Labour politician, John Wheatley will come to print in No Mean Affair to be launched in October.
Morning events will take place at Bewdley Library, with afternoon and evening events in the Baptist Church.
