BEWDLEY Festival closes this year with the premiere of the Big Brass New Orleans Mass which has been specially written for the event..
It will be performed for the first time at 10.30am on Sunday at St Anne’s Church in Load Street, Bewdley.
The music will be provided by the Brass Volcanoes, featuring Andy Williamson who has written the piece, and the Wolverhampton Chamber Choir.
Festival regular Andy is a multi-faceted musician, who is equally at home playing sax with Motown legends Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, singing mediaeval choral music or abseiling from the balcony of the Royal Festival Hall during a performance with his Big Buzzard Boogie Band while playing the sax.
The Brass Volcanoes play street jazz in the tradition of New Orleans.
The Wolverhampton Chamber Choir has an extensive repertoire, from Duke Ellington to Elgar, that they perform regularly in the West Midlands area and abroad.
Entry to the concert is free.
