A SINGER-songwriter stopped off at a Kidderminster school for an early morning sing-along.
Jonathan Whiskerd joined King Charles I School pupils for a music lesson as part of his schools tour.
Jonathan was born in the UK but spent much of his childhood in Austria. He was influenced by his mother’s love of Joni Mitchell and taught himself the guitar at school and performed in a series of bands.
In between touring, Jonathan teaches songwriting at The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance.
Jonathan said: “James, my guitarist, and I had an absolute blast at King Charles I School.
“It was an early morning gig, hardly a traditional stage time for musicians, but we were blown away by the response of the students. They certainly woke us up.
“The audience were with us from the first song and joined in at every possible opportunity. We even had one girl join us on stage to sing a song with us - she was fantastic.
“After the show, I went to do an unplugged performance for a class of autistic children who had missed out, which was a lot of fun. “James and I had a very enjoyable morning and are very grateful to KC School for having us.”
