KIDDERMINSTER Choral Society are set to present a concert of English music at Kidderminster Town Hall next weekend.
The concert, entitled This Sceptred Isle, will include works including A Sea Symphony, composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Blest Pair of Sirens, by Hubert Parry.
Conducted by Geoffrey Weaver, the society's musical director, the show will feature soloists, Linda Richardson (soprano) and Eddie Wade (baritone).
Organist Marcus Huxley and The Elgar Sinfonia will also be performing on the night.
Peter Knott, publicity officer for the society, said: "This year we are marking the 50th anniversary of the death of Vaughan Williams.
"His work, A Sea Symphony, is a powerfully descriptive piece and probably the first real choral symphony ever written."
Tickets for next Saturday's concert, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from Bob Powell, on 01562 60112.
They are also available from the venue or at the door on the night.
