MEMBERS of West Midland Light Orchestra are gearing up for a musical extravaganza.
The group's At Home concert will be held at Stone Manor Hotel on Sunday next week.
Formed nearly 30 years ago, the 40 strong orchestra, consisting of a big band with a string section and extra woodwind, has held successful charity concerts throughout the West Midlands.
Its repertoire covers the golden era of songs, jazz standards and show tunes with all arrangements specially written for the line up. The orchestra's musical director, David Etheridge, has worked in both jazz and classical circles with Stephan Grappelli, Nigel Kennedy and Peter Skellern.
Further information about the concert can be obtained from the orchestra's secretary, Dennis Brown, on 01905 773178.
