CLASSICAL music fans will be flocking to Kidderminster Library when it hosts a piano recital by world-renowned pianist, Allan Schiller.
The event, presented by the Classical Music Society, will take place on Friday next week at 7.30pm.
Allan's programme will delight the audience with works such as Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata, and music by Mozart and Schumann.
The concert pianist, who has performed for the Queen and Prince Edward, began his career aged 10 when he performed a Mozart concerto with British conductor and cellist, Sir John Barbirolli and the Halle Orchestra.
After spending two years with Mozart pianist, Denis Matthews, he became the first British pianist to win a scholarship to the Moscow Conservatoire.
In his teenage years, Allan appeared at the Edinburgh Festival and in the BBC Promenade Concerts, with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
Von Stewart, vice chairman of the society, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming Allan back to Kidderminster.
"I am especially looking forward to hearing his performance of the Waldstein Sonata, as I heard him give a superb performance of it at a recital in Birmingham three years ago."
Tickets for the event are available from the library shop or by contacting 01562 755990.
