TOP R n B DJ, Trevor Nelson, will be in Kidderminster tomorrow night when he performs at Mirage Night Club.

The Radio One star, who has also made frequent television appearances, has been at the cutting edge of music since the early 1990s.

He graduated from being a promoter and club DJ to working for a record label as a promotions manager, for artists like Kenny Thomas and Juliet Roberts.

After working for Kiss radio, he launched his Rhythm Nation show on Radio One. He was recognised with awards, including a MOBO and was voted best radio DJ by Blues and Soul readers.

In 1998, he joined MTV as a presenter and associate producer of The Lick.

More accolades followed, as he picked up a bronze Sony Radio Award in 1999 for Radio One's R n B Chart Show.

His television work has included hosting an MTV forum with Tony Blair and holiday and relationship programmes for the BBC.

More recently, he was one of the judges on The Two of Us, in which celebrities teamed up with singers to perform duets.

He is expected to be on stage at Mirage at around midnight and play for about two hours. Tickets are available from Mirage on 01562 863738 or from the Select cafe, in New Road, Kidderminster.
