It's always good to see and hear truly professional musicians perform and the Bewdley Festival team have achieved this yet again with the booking of Andy Fairweather Low and The Lowriders.
Their performance at the Mercure Hotel as the opener for Bewdley Festival 2013 was a tour through Andy's long and varied musical career spiced throughout with a lacing of humour, which was well appreciated by the capacity audience.
The group comprised of Andy (guitar/vocals), Dave Berry (bass and vocals), Paul Beavis, a very energetic drummer and Rich Dunn (sax and clarinet).
They obviously enjoy playing together and were ably backed up by their technical team who coped particularly well with a guitar malfunction.
One of the many highlights was a medley of three instrumentals and the performance was completed with the hit If Paradise Is Half As Nice.
Altogether a night enjoyed by all.
