Having missed seeing her last time, I was looking forward to making up for it this year, but I was in no way prepared for the amazing evening that followed.
I almost want to say there aren't words to describe it, but i'm going to find some.
Claire and her trio were not only brilliant musically - there was so much talent on that stage and not just the stunning vocals. She was funny, down to earth and made the audience feel part of the evening.
From Benny having lost his train whistle and buying sheep-bells off ebay to Claire giving us the low-down on her patterned sock buying habit, the audience was laughing, clapping and in raptures even in between the songs.
I have never heard such a beautiful rendition of Hallelujah, it gave me goose bumps.
The line to buy CDs and meet and chat with Claire after the show was proof of how the audience felt, and she was so obliging to anyone wanting signatures or photos.
One of the friendliest acts I think I've ever had the privilege to meet.
