LESLEY Smith, curator of Tutbury Castle, held her audience spellbound with her portrayal of Elizabeth I.
Wearing an authentic embroidered velvet outfit and make up, she recounted her years as a most beloved monarch who brought peace and prosperity to England during her 45-year reign.
Not only did she convincingly and impressively act the character, she demonstrated her academic knowledge and infectious love of history especially the Tudor period.
A real Tour de Force.
'Strolling Minstrel’ Andy Casserley in period costume and playing traditional instruments heightened the Tudor atmosphere. Gloriana!
