ATKINS Susan Mary Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 15th October 2022 aged 74 years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. A funeral service will take place at Wyre Forest Crematorium on Thursday 10th November 2022 at 12.30pm. Family flowers only please. We are so saddened to learn of Sue's passing. Sue's husband Ray and I were pen friends for years (before email!), as we were both officers in the Fire Service. We got to meet Ray and Sue in 2005 when we stayed with them for a week, and later the Atkins' hosted our eldest daughter while she did her student-teaching in England.
Sue was a warm hostess, witty and a professional nurse. After Ray's passing we would send a few emails and also talk on the phone several times a year. As said before, we are greatly saddened by her passing, but happy that she is now with Ray. Our world however, has lost a wonderful soul. Godspeed Sue.
