KIDDERMINSTER fire fighters were called to tackle a chimney blaze in Stone.
The incident involving a woodburning stove happened at about 3.30pm on Wednesday at a property in Dunclent.
Two crews from Kidderminster tackled the blaze while debris was cleared from the fireplace.
A spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service warned it was one of several chimney fire incidents in recent days.
Station commander Alan Haley said: “The effects of a chimney fire can be devastating and we want to do all that we can to highlight the risks and ensure that those who have real fires or woodburners are taking the right safety precautions.”
