WALKERS are being invited to take part in a relaxing seven-mile country walk along the River Severn for Kemp Hospice.
The fundraising event will take place on Sunday, September 15 where volunteers will walk from Bewdley to Highley.
At the end of the journey, walkers will be rewarded with a cup of tea or coffee and cake before boarding the Severn Valley Railway steam train back to Bewdley.
The walk will begin at Bewdley station at 9am and will follow the river through Worcestershire and Shropshire.
Kemp Hospice events fundraiser Kate Wilkinson said: “This is a fabulous opportunity for individuals or families to join us for a lovely Sunday morning walk, through picturesque villages, meeting friendly people and then a fantastic return journey on the Severn Valley Railway back to Bewdley.
“By joining us and taking part you will be helping raise essential funds to support the vital work of Kemp Hospice and their work within the community delivering the end of life care we have come to rely on.”
Kemp Hospice provides specialist care and support to patients, families and carers who are dealing with life-limiting illness and bereavement in Wyre Forest.
The walk, including a t-shirt, train fare and refreshments, costs £15 for adults and £7.50 for children and walkers are also encouraged to get sponsored.
