THE Sold Out notices are already up for the Andy Fairweather Low opening concert, Nina Conti, Simon Hoggart and the afternoon Max Keen Lecture at this year’s Bewdley Festival.
All the tickets for the Severn Valley Railway’s Classic Vehicle Day in October have also been snapped up.
Other best-sellers are the Lords Roy Hattersley and Douglas Hurd and Stephen Price and Stuart Davies’ talk on historic Bewdley.
The festival is taking place at a number of venues throughout Bewdley from October 11 to October 20.
Tickets are still available for Miranda Krestovnikoff from Coast and The One Show, comedy night with female stand-up Jo Caulfield, jazz and swing diva Clare Teal, the drama Female Gothic with Rebecca Vaughan and Josephine Tewson’s one-woman show.
Dave Collins of Bewdley Festival said: “Ticket sales are as strong as ever, which is reassuring in a time of austerity. Once again, there is something for everyone and people are obviously still determined to enjoy festival and have a good time, as evidenced by the very good ticket sales for party night.
“The idea of taking a week out to recharge batteries seems to have been well received.”
