A 1940s vintage sale raised £5,500 for Kemp Hospice at the Severn Valley Railway in Bewdley.
Clothing, hats, uniforms, jewellery, memorabilia and household goods were for sale at the two weekend event.
Retail manager Lynne Jones said: “This year’s vintage event at the Severn Valley Railway in Bewdley astounded us both in terms of the amount of visitors and the £5,500 we managed to raise over the 2 weekends.
“Please can I thank on behalf of Kemp all our donors, customers and volunteers for making our vintage sale such a huge success.”
Kemp Retail processes more than five tonnes of stock at its Lisle Avenue warehouse each week and hopes to reach the £1 million target this year, which is the 20th anniversary of the department.
Kemp Hospice provides specialist care and support to patients, families and carers dealing with life-limiting illness and bereavement in Wyre Forest.
Ms Jones added: “We plan to set up a vintage section on eBay, which is a totally new venture for us and a great way of achieving the best possible price for the wonderful items people donate to us.
“The sun may have set on this year’s 40s vintage sale, but donations are already being sought for next year as we almost sell-out so need to start replenishing and restocking immediately to ensure we’re ready for next year.”
