THREE Christmas trees have been put up early in Wyre Forest for people to hang messages to remember their loved ones as part of a Kemp Hospice campaign.

The Light up a Life appeal invites people to dedicate a light and write a message to pay tribute to anyone they might be missing at Christmas time.

The trees are located in Kidderminster’s Swan Centre, Bewdley Museum and Stourport Co-operative.

Any dedications made will also be recorded in a special book which will be displayed at Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport libraries.

The trees will then be blessed at a Christmas carol service at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, December 14, and anyone who has written a message is invited to attend.

Kate Wilkinson, fundraiser at Kemp Hospice, said: “This year we are also having lights shining out from the hospice in Mason Road, Kidderminster and as more dedications are received, more lights will be added.

“Please remember this campaign is open to everyone not just those who have experienced hospice care.”

To make a dedication call 01562 756066, email kate.wilkinson@kemphospice.org.uk or visit kemphospice.org.uk.

Forms are also available from Kemp Hospice, all four Kemp charity shops and the Swan Centre, in Kidderminster.
