STUDENTS at Wolverley CE Secondary School took part in Safer Internet Day by creating posters that will be displayed around the school.

Organised by Insafe, which is part of the European Commission’s Safer Internet programme, the day aimed to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, particularly among children and young people across the world.

Mark Pollard, acting headteacher at Wolverley CE Secondary School, said: “The internet is an amazing tool that has tremendous learning benefits for the younger generation. However, there have recently been some high-profile news articles that highlight the need to ensure that young people are safe online.

“The students created some fantastic posters that are being displayed around the school to help their peers stop and think about their online use.”
