FIREFIGHTERS in Wyre Forest were called to two separate fires at railway embankments on Sunday.
The first incident was a fire in 20sq metres of grass by the Severn Valley Railway near Trimpley Sailing Club, Trimpley Reservoir, at about 5pm.
The second happened about 40 minutes later on a 50 sq metre patch of the embankment at Devil's Spittleful, near Rifle Range, Kidderminster. A crew from Bewdley was called and used two water backpacks and beaters to extinguish the fire.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said he did not know what the causes were but neither incident was being treated as suspicious.
