SEVERN Trent Water has announced a £400,000 investment in Rock to improve pipes and make the water supply more reliable.
Residents will be able to find out about the plans during a drop-in session on Tuesday at Heightington Village Hall from 4pm to 7pm.
Severn Trent Water programme engineer, Dave Kiernan, said: “We want to make sure our customers continue to receive a reliable water supply.
"Unfortunately, the water pipes in the area have grown old and are now prone to bursts, which can lead to an interruption in the water supply.
"To help prevent this from happening in the future, we’re investing £400,000 to install nearly three and a half kilometres of new water pipes in the area.
“Before we start work, we’ll be holding a drop-in session for local residents to find out more about our plans. We’ll be there, together with our contract partners, Amey, to answer any questions about the work.
"These sessions are also a great way for us to find out how we can minimise the impact of any work on the local community. After all, residents are the experts on their community."
Work will begin at the end of April and road closures will start in June on Heightington Road before moving onto Bine Lane, Orchard Close and Gorst Hill.
