A COACH firm is supporting Kemp Hospice in the run up to the World Cup by selling Name the England Teddy scratch cards.
Kidderminster-based Whittle Coach and Bus are backing the campaign between Thursday, June 12 and Sunday, July 13 before the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro gets underway.
Kemp Hospice fundraising administrator, Julie Hicks, said: “We are overwhelmed with the support we have already received from Whittle Coaches and we hope Kemp’s England Teddy campaign will further highlight Kemp Hospice in the local area, informing even more people within the local and wider communities of the services Kemp continues to provide.”
Whittle Coaches' highly visible liveried fleet, a familiar sight around Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley, will all be promoting Kemp and the England Teddy charity scratch card campaign.
Whittle Coach and Bus general manager, David Shipp, said: “Kemp Hospice offer such a worthwhile service that we were only too happy to help with their World Cup Teddy campaign.
"I don’t know how many of our customers are football fans but I certainly hope they get behind the campaign too, during such a well-known sporting event.”
Each scratch card, which cost £1 each, contains 40 teddy names which will help Kemp raise vital funds towards the £940,000 they need to raise annually for patients, families and carers who are dealing with life-limiting illness and bereavement.
