A TEENAGER has organised a variety of money-raising events to take part in a charity expedition to Borneo.
Seventeen-year-old Leah Ingle needs to raise £2,000 to go on the Raleigh International expedition and she has so far been able to collect £500 after organising a quiz night and a car boot sale.
Leah said: “I have always wanted to give back to the world and help those who are less fortunate than me and I believe this expedition is the way to do it.
“I also believe it will be an amazing experience and help me view the world in a different way. I want to achieve a change in the world through this expedition and see the ways in which others live.”
Events the King Charles I sixth form pupil has planned throughout the summer are a dance night, featuring famous songs from the 60s to the present day and a car boot sale, where a car pitch costs £5.
“I am very grateful for my family and friends in helping me raise money for the expedition,” she said.
“I am also very grateful for everyone who has come to support me - I could not achieve this without any of them.”
