THE 6th Kidderminster Scout Group hosted a reunion at the Scout hut is Chestnut Grove, Franche, to mark the 80th anniversary of the group.
About 100 members both past and present attended the celebration day, where there was a display of the group’s history as well as refreshments and a birthday cake.
Sally Mackillop, group Scout leader, said: “We had a great day - lots of people from the group’s past came to visit us.
“We had a new volunteer come forward to help the Cub section and got to see lots of great pictures articles and memorabiliam including a 70-year-old Scout shirt and beret.”
The reunion gave current members the chance to hear from the members of the past, who had many stories and tales of how the group used to be, while the older members got to experience how the was group currently run.
