A BRITAIN’S Got Talent finalist spent her 80th birthday telling students at Wolverley CE Secondary School about ambition and self-belief.
Sarah Patricia “Paddy” Jones, from Stourbridge, is a salsa-dancing granny who was put straight through to the final of this year’s talent show.
Bryn Thomas, headteacher, said: “Our school motto is Ambition Unlimited and we try to encourage our students to aim high.
“Having taken up dancing again 10 years ago, following the death of her husband, there is no-one that encapsulates aiming high more than Paddy.
“We’re delighted she celebrated her 80th birthday with us to encourage our students to dream big.”
Mrs Jones also won the Spanish talent show Tú sí que vales with her dance partner, Nico, in 2009.
Mrs Jones also made it into the Guinness Book of Records in 2009 as the world’s oldest acrobatic salsa dancer.
