THE group which runs a Chaddesley Corbett hotel has been awarded a coveted national accolade at a London award show.
Midland-based Eden Hotel Collection which owns Brockencote Hall received the AA Small Hotel Group of the Year 2014.
The award recognises small hotel companies which have demonstrated “an outstanding commitment to improve and develop their portfolio of hotels, while maintaining a high level of consistency throughout the group”.
Mark Chambers, managing director, who collected the award from TV newsreader Fiona Bruce, said: “We are delighted and extremely proud to have been recognised by the AA Hospitality Awards, which is hugely prestigious for our industry.
“To win this award in a highly competitive market place is a great achievement and one which I’m honoured to share with each and every member of our fantastic team.
“The knowledge and experience of the AA’s inspectors is unrivalled and an AA rating is one of the most trusted forms of quality and service recognition in the hospitality industry.
“This achievement is an enormous source of pride to everyone who works at the Eden Hotel Collection.”
The company moved into a new head office in Stratford-upon-Avon in January from its former base at Coventry Airport, and has doubled in size over the past four years, investing in its properties and staff.
Simon Numphus, head of AA Hotel Services, said his organisation was delighted to recognise the group with the award.
“This delightful small group has consistently re-invested in their hotels year on year with some impressive refurbishments,” he said.
“In addition, and most importantly, the strength of their hotels is their individuality and the high standards of hospitality and service delivered by their dedicated and professional teams.”
The Eden Hotel Collection is a privately-owned group of nine hotels across the Midlands, including Mallory Court in Leamington Spa and The Arden in Stratford-upon-Avon.
