A WYRE Forest hotel has been announced as the winner in two categories of the 2014 Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence.
Brockencote Hall Hotel, in Chaddesley Corbett, was up for top honours in both the Best Hotel and Best Business Tourism awards.
The hotel came away with both prizes at the ceremony held at the Mercure Kidderminster, beating The Malvern and Dormy House Hotel and Spa and Top Barn Activity Centre and Aztec Adventures in the respective categories.
The awards recognise the achievements of local businesses, including activity centres, hotels and farms, across the county.
Dean Gunston, general manager of Brokencote Hall, said: “The team at Brockencote are absolutely delighted to have won these awards.
“Our aim was to restore Brockencote Hall to her former glory and create a classic, high end dining and accommodation destination for visitors to the county.
“We are extremely proud to be a part of the close communities within Worcestershire and are thrilled that visitors to the area recognise how fantastic Brockencote Hall is. Well done to my team.”
Brockencote Hall, together with the winners and runner-ups from each category, will now be put forward to the 2015 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Little Owl Farm Park, in Owlhill Lane, Comhampton, was a finalist in the Best Tourism Experience and Best Sustainable Tourism categories but came away empty handed.
